Key Responsibilities

Under general supervision, the Associate Analyst will be responsible for managing pre-commercial and commercial energy supply agreements in accordance with their stipulated terms and conditions. This includes:

  • Ensuring the completion of contractually mandated milestones and the acceptance of commercial operations.
  • Facilitating compliance, resolving disputes, and overseeing the invoicing process for both renewable and non-renewable agreements.
  • Coordinating solutions for challenges associated with the integration of battery technology within long-term power purchase contracts.
Contract Management

The Analyst will engage in:

  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to effectively plan, execute, and monitor long-term renewable energy agreements, contributing to the advancement of clean energy initiatives.
  • Tracking construction performance milestones and leading discussions with suppliers on a monthly basis.
  • Identifying potential project risks and formulating mitigation strategies in partnership with the project team and legal counsel.
  • Maintaining accurate documentation and reports, including tracking daily delays and relevant communications.
  • Ensuring adherence to regulatory standards and contract stipulations throughout the operational phase of renewable facilities.
Renewable and Non-Renewable Energy Agreements

The role also involves:

  • Managing the tracking and fulfillment of obligations under complex renewable and non-renewable Power Purchase Agreements and Transportation Service Agreements.
  • Collaborating with legal teams to resolve disputes and finalize contract amendments.
  • Developing and maintaining systems to measure contract performance and ensure compliance.
  • Estimating power production for agreements and preparing monthly accrual documentation for financial analysis.
Compliance and Reporting

Responsibilities include:

  • Preparing accurate data for annual financial reporting and regulatory filings.
  • Responding to audit requests and developing necessary documentation.
  • Providing detailed responses to internal and regulatory inquiries regarding managed energy contracts.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Economics, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy in work.
  • Proficiency in computer applications for data analysis and reporting.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of engaging with diverse stakeholders.
Preferred Skills
  • Knowledge of the energy sector and project management principles.
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements and compliance in the energy industry.
  • Experience in a regulated environment.
