Job Summary

PacifiCorp is seeking a highly skilled Net Power Cost Analyst to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for conducting complex analysis, gathering and interpreting data, and developing recommendations for our Net Power Costs department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analysis and Reporting
    • Conduct cost/benefit analysis, trending/forecasting, financial analysis, budget analysis, and reporting.
    • Develop and present analysis and recommendations to management.
  • Project Management
    • Provide project management and process improvement support on teams NPC filings, modeling, and process improvement projects.
    • Support modeling team in collecting, uploading, and reviewing data inputs and modeling results.
  • Regulatory Filings
    • Prepare net power cost regulatory filings, including general rate cases, transition adjustment mechanisms, power cost adjustment mechanisms, and avoided cost filings.
    • Assist in supporting the company's net power cost initiatives to other company departments.
  • Communication and Collaboration
    • Present analysis and provide alternatives and recommendations to department management and influence their decision regarding regulatory policies and strategies.
    • Interface and work with state regulatory commissions regarding appropriate application of company and commission administrative rules.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Engineering, or a related field; or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • A minimum of three years of related analytical work experience.
  • Skills and Abilities
    • Advanced spreadsheet, database, and word processing skills in order to gather, analyze, and present model information.
    • Communication and interpersonal skills including the ability to consult with internal and external customers regarding matters/issues which may be sensitive in nature.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Advanced Degree
    • Advanced degree in related field.
  • Knowledge and Experience
    • Knowledge of applicable company policies and procedures; applicable federal, state, and local governmental laws and regulations.
    • Advanced knowledge of data analytics, statistics, and economic theory.
