Role Summary:
The Vice President of Wealth Management will spearhead the development and leadership of a team of licensed financial advisors within CommunityAmerica Credit Union. This position is crucial in ensuring the provision of exceptional wealth management services and guidance to our clients. The VP will be responsible for recruiting, training, and enhancing the performance of Wealth Advisors as they cultivate and oversee a substantial client portfolio. This role is instrumental in driving the growth and success of the wealth management division by promoting a client-focused culture, formulating effective strategies, and empowering advisors to reach their maximum potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Formulate and implement strategic initiatives aimed at boosting revenue and achieving the objectives of the wealth management division, ensuring alignment with the broader business strategy.
  • Recruit, mentor, and supervise the daily operations of Wealth Advisors, providing leadership and support to meet performance benchmarks. Foster a collaborative team environment that encourages growth, performance, and client satisfaction.
  • Create a comprehensive onboarding and training program for advisors, equipping them with the necessary tools to succeed and nurture strong client relationships.
  • Set individual and team sales targets, holding all team members accountable for achieving these goals. Offer coaching and constructive feedback to facilitate advisor success.
  • Assist advisors in developing and managing their client portfolios. Formulate and execute strategies to attract and retain high-net-worth clients while identifying growth opportunities within their existing client base.
  • Ensure the delivery of outstanding wealth management services to clients. Oversee the creation of tailored financial plans and investment strategies that align with clients' objectives and assist advisors in navigating complex client situations.
  • Monitor and evaluate market trends to maintain the competitiveness of the team's services and ensure they meet client needs.
  • Track and report on key performance indicators related to advisor effectiveness, client satisfaction, and business growth, providing regular updates to senior management on team progress and challenges.
  • Uphold high ethical standards and ensure compliance with industry regulations, monitoring the team's adherence to all regulatory requirements and internal policies.
  • Manage the forecasting of annual revenue and expenses to ensure financial targets are met.
  • Collaborate with IT teams to facilitate the adoption of new technologies and services, acting as a liaison between IT and Wealth Advisors.
  • Enhance the branch referral program and implement a structured training program for credit union staff.
  • Participate in credit union events, conferences, and community meetings as necessary to advocate for the interests of CommunityAmerica Credit Union's wealth management services.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 7 years of experience in a leadership role within wealth management, financial services, or a related sector.
  • Possession of Series 7, 24, and 66 licenses (or equivalent) along with Life and Health insurance licenses is required.
  • Demonstrated leadership and coaching capabilities, with a proven history of developing and motivating high-performing teams.
  • Extensive experience in sales management within the financial services industry, with a solid understanding of wealth management and credit union operations.
  • Exceptional communication skills to foster strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills to drive revenue growth and enhance program performance.
