We are seeking a dynamic Vice President of Operations to oversee our operational strategies and initiatives. This pivotal role will be responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating all non-farm operational activities within the organization. The successful candidate will ensure the development and execution of efficient operational processes and cost-effective systems to address both current and future organizational needs. This position will have direct oversight of the operational activities at our processing facilities, including quality assurance and supply chain management. Additionally, the role will provide guidance on operational functions across various joint venture facilities, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Lead and manage a team of Vice Presidents responsible for Plant Operations, Supply Chain Logistics, and Quality Assurance.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive strategies for operational efficiency.
  • Prepare and present performance reports and metrics to the executive leadership team.
  • Identify and integrate innovative processes, technologies, and systems to enhance organizational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to establish and achieve company objectives while providing operational expertise.
  • Formulate and enforce operations-related policies, practices, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Work closely with the Safety Team to maintain a safe working environment across all facilities.
  • Provide strategic solutions to challenges related to transportation, logistics, and customer service.
  • Analyze financial data to inform budgeting and resource allocation decisions.
  • Evaluate and negotiate with contractors and service providers to optimize operational performance.
  • Mentor and develop team members to enhance their skills and capabilities.
  • Drive accountability and operational excellence to ensure superior service delivery.
  • Conduct regular site visits to monitor operational effectiveness.
  • Oversee the preparation and management of operational budgets.
  • Collaborate with the Commercial Team to execute strategic plans for product expansion.
  • Ensure timely production of products to maximize profitability and customer satisfaction.
  • Build a data-driven organization to support informed business decisions.
  • Provide analytical support for forecasting and operational planning.
  • Direct the development of annual and long-term business plans for operational units.
  • Standardize training programs to enhance operational knowledge across teams.
  • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of industry trends and competitive landscape.

QUALIFICATIONS

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Engineering, or a related field; MBA preferred.
  • 15+ years of relevant industry experience.
  • A minimum of five years in a leadership role within a processing facility.
  • At least three years in upper management.
  • Experience in budgeting, planning, and financial analysis.
  • Extensive knowledge of industry best practices and operational procedures.
  • Proven track record of leading and developing teams.
  • Strong business acumen and understanding of financial performance.
WORK ENVIRONMENT

The role primarily involves an office setting with occasional fieldwork. Work hours will be determined by departmental needs, with potential after-hours and weekend commitments.
