This position will have direct oversight of the operational activities at our processing facilities, including quality assurance and supply chain management. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead and manage a team of Vice Presidents responsible for Plant Operations, Supply Chain Logistics, and Quality Assurance.
- Develop and implement comprehensive strategies for operational efficiency.
- Prepare and present performance reports and metrics to the executive leadership team.
- Identify and integrate innovative processes, technologies, and systems to enhance organizational efficiency.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to establish and achieve company objectives while providing operational expertise.
- Formulate and enforce operations-related policies, practices, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Work closely with the Safety Team to maintain a safe working environment across all facilities.
- Provide strategic solutions to challenges related to transportation, logistics, and customer service.
- Analyze financial data to inform budgeting and resource allocation decisions.
- Evaluate and negotiate with contractors and service providers to optimize operational performance.
- Mentor and develop team members to enhance their skills and capabilities.
- Drive accountability and operational excellence to ensure superior service delivery.
- Conduct regular site visits to monitor operational effectiveness.
- Oversee the preparation and management of operational budgets.
- Collaborate with the Commercial Team to execute strategic plans for product expansion.
- Ensure timely production of products to maximize profitability and customer satisfaction.
- Build a data-driven organization to support informed business decisions.
- Provide analytical support for forecasting and operational planning.
- Direct the development of annual and long-term business plans for operational units.
- Standardize training programs to enhance operational knowledge across teams.
- Maintain a comprehensive understanding of industry trends and competitive landscape.
QUALIFICATIONS
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Engineering, or a related field; MBA preferred.
- 15+ years of relevant industry experience.
- A minimum of five years in a leadership role within a processing facility.
- At least three years in upper management.
- Experience in budgeting, planning, and financial analysis.
- Extensive knowledge of industry best practices and operational procedures.
- Proven track record of leading and developing teams.
- Strong business acumen and understanding of financial performance.
The role primarily involves an office setting with occasional fieldwork. Work hours will be determined by departmental needs, with potential after-hours and weekend commitments.
