As a Farm Equipment Service Technician, your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting pre-delivery inspections, maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on agricultural machinery.
  • Ordering necessary parts and preparing detailed repair estimates.
  • Generating accurate inspection and service reports while maintaining required records.
  • Completing repair jobs and estimates efficiently.
  • Ensuring work areas are kept clean and organized.
  • Adhering to safety protocols and company policies.
  • Performing additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications Include:

  • 1-3 years of mechanical experience with agricultural or similar equipment.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent experience; a technical or vocational degree in a mechanical field is highly preferred.
  • Strong communication skills and a willingness to learn.
  • Basic math skills and self-motivation.

Physical Effort:

Service Technicians are often required to stand for extended periods, bend, lay, and crawl to perform repairs and maintenance on machinery. They frequently lift parts and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance and must navigate heavy equipment and irregular terrain safely.

Working Conditions:

Service Technicians operate in environments with potential hazards, including electrical, mechanical, and power equipment. They may be exposed to chemicals, used oils, and other substances, as well as adverse weather conditions.

Noise levels can vary, with mists, fumes, and dust present in the shop environment.

Travel:

Minimal travel is expected.
