Apple is a place where you can achieve your greatest professional aspirations.

Apple designs consumer electronics that have influenced millions and transformed the interaction between people and technology globally.

At the heart of every Apple product is a dedicated team of multi-functional professionals, where meticulous attention to detail is crucial for success.

The Technology Calibration & Test group (TCT) within Hardware Test Engineering (HWTE) is tasked with creating and refining methodologies and measurement solutions for the calibration and validation of critical technologies across Apple's product range.

For emerging technologies, our focus is on metrology and design characterization.

The team addresses a variety of technologies including Camera, Depth, Image Sensors, Motion, Optical & Health Sensors, as well as Display and Touch across all product categories.

We seek a seasoned technical leader with expertise in motion sensing hardware to spearhead calibration and testing strategies during the initial phases of technology development.

If you possess extensive experience in key hardware technologies (e.g., motion sensors, image sensors, magnetometers, pressure sensors), a strong focus on product and customer needs, and a proven track record of guiding complex programs through the development lifecycle, we would be eager to connect with you.

Role Responsibilities:
The Technology Program Office in Hardware Test Engineering (HWTE) leads the calibration and testing strategy while balancing quality and customer experience with operational needs.

This role requires proactively driving alignment and convergence plans with multi-functional teams, identifying risks, and implementing mitigation strategies — all while maintaining regular communication with senior leadership across Apple.

Minimum Qualifications:
- 5-10 years of experience
- Background in Motion Sensing Hardware: Accelerometers, Gyroscopes, Pressure Sensors, Magnetometers
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in Engineering - Electrical Engineering/Computer Engineering preferred

Preferred Qualifications:
- Understanding of hardware/software architecture and the interoperability of complex systems
- Knowledge of statistical data analysis, design, process, and test FMEA
- Experience with simulation tools/platforms
- High-volume consumer electronics calibration, testing, and manufacturing experience
- Technical leadership and/or project management experience with excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to maintain focus and clarity in complex situations while overseeing the broader context and the demands of a fast-paced development cycle.

Compensation & Benefits:
At Apple, base pay is one component of our comprehensive compensation package and is determined within a specified range.

This allows for growth as you develop within your role.

The base pay range for this position is between $165,500 and $293,800, with your base pay depending on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
