Wireless Technology Testing Engineer

This role is for a Wireless Technology Testing Engineer specializing in various wireless communication technologies. The position entails diagnosing and evaluating the performance of wireless connections (NFC, UWB, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, BLE) in both laboratory and field environments. The selected candidate will collaborate with a team of engineers and technicians to guarantee the precision and dependability of testing results. A solid background in field testing and proficiency in Python scripting is essential, with the capability to adapt Python libraries as required. Fieldwork may require significant travel.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform testing and evaluation of NFC, UWB, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth technologies in both controlled and real-world settings.
  • Develop and implement test plans, cases, and scripts for thorough wireless technology assessment.
  • Identify issues and propose effective solutions.
  • Maintain and calibrate testing instruments.
  • Work collaboratively with team members to ensure consistent testing outcomes.
  • Keep abreast of the latest developments in wireless technology.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience with NFC, UWB, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth/BLE technologies.
  • Expertise in Python scripting.
  • Strong analytical skills and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Able to work autonomously as well as part of a team.
  • Willingness to travel for testing and data gathering.
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
  • Familiarity with Mac office applications.
