Position Overview:

The University of Arkansas Pulaski Technical College is seeking a dedicated individual to support faculty and students within the Dental Assisting program. This role involves assisting in both clinical and laboratory environments, ensuring that all necessary materials and instruments are prepared and maintained for various procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and clean materials and instruments required for laboratory procedures.
  • Ensure that all instruments are sterilized and ready for clinical use.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in both clinical and laboratory settings.
  • Assist faculty and students with the manipulation and application of dental materials.
  • Support various dental procedures, including temporary crown creation and radiography.
  • Aid in competencies related to amalgam and composite procedures, sealant placement, and patient education.

Qualifications:

Candidates must possess a minimum of an associate degree from a CODA-accredited institution and be a Registered Dental Assistant with the State Board of Dental Examiners of Arkansas. Additionally, the candidate should be willing to obtain national certification within one year of employment.

Salary Information:

The hourly wage for this position is $21.00.
