Job Title: Driver Supervisor

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Driver Supervisor to oversee and lead our drivers in Milwaukee. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for managing driver performance, scheduling, and ensuring excellent customer service for our riders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations of drivers, providing constructive feedback and coaching to improve service quality and efficiency.
  • Develop and implement training programs for new hires and ongoing training for existing drivers.
  • Monitor and manage scheduling of drivers to ensure optimal coverage and service availability.
  • Handle customer service issues, resolving complaints and making decisions to promote passenger satisfaction.
  • Manage fleet availability, collaborating with Via's vehicle rental providers' fleet managers to ensure vehicles are in good working condition.
  • Prioritize operational issues as the real-time point of contact and implement creative solutions to solve problems as they arise.
  • Diligently work collaboratively with a broad interdisciplinary team to scale operational processes, systems, and tools to drive rapid growth.
  • Analyze, interpret metrics/KPIs in order to identify possible inefficiencies and apply analysis to optimize operations.
  • Safely and courteously, operate lift-equipped vehicles to transport elderly and/or persons with disabilities.
  • Learn the fundamentals of Via operations and related safety procedures.
  • Perform the routine operation of vehicles, including pre- and post-shift inspections.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in transportation services or comparable industry, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
  • An effective communicator and hold excellent interpersonal skills, with an ability to handle stressful situations diplomatically.
  • Proficient in using standard office software (e.g., MS Office).
  • Have a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Possess good knowledge of the city and community.
  • Able to operate a wheelchair accessible vehicle within standard safety guidelines to ensure public safety.
  • Able to deal effectively and courteously with all customers and the public.
  • Hold a valid driver's license.
  • Able to pass a drug screening, motor vehicle check, and criminal background check.
  • At least 25 years old.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; higher education or certifications in transportation, logistics, or related field preferred.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as required.
Compensation and Benefits:
  • Final salary will be determined by the candidate's experience, knowledge, and skills. Salary reflected does not include equity or variable pay, where applicable.
