Job Title: Regional Manager

Job Summary:

The Regional Manager is responsible for overseeing the operations of multiple stores and warehouses within the Salvation Army Central Territory. This includes managing staff, resources, and budgets to ensure efficient and effective operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage staff and resources with integrity and fiscal accountability.
  • Support the Administrator for Business in budget preparation and daily management of the center budget.
  • Review finance and sales reports daily/weekly and cross-check for accuracy.
  • Oversight of all product donation pick-up and store delivery.
  • Oversight of all warehouse production, working to find the most efficient and effective ways to control costs while meeting customer service needs.
  • Develop and support the implementation of Product Control Procedures to prevent shrinkage through theft or spoilage.
  • Oversee purchasing of supplies needed for production, following all purchasing policies for the center.
  • Work with vendors to ensure rag and bulk sales are handled effectively and at a profit to the center.
  • Maintain and review records concerning product acquisition, production, and sales, noting trends and taking appropriate action to maintain established quotas.
  • Provide Administrators with reports requested.
  • Oversee store operations, including forecasting of sales and attending/leading monthly manager's meetings.
  • Work with leadership team and ARC Command to develop marketing strategies and sales, overseeing the implementation of marketing in stores.
  • Oversee the preventative maintenance of center properties and equipment.
  • Ensure that the warehouse and stores are being run in accordance with OSHA Safety Guidelines and meet all TSA Policies.
  • Oversee that the ARC Fleet meets all Federal and State Regulations and TSA Commercial Motor Vehicle Policies.
  • Oversee the regular updating of the inventory for each department/property.
  • Control property, utility, and product supply waste.
  • Manage minor property repairs and contact preferred vendors on projects.
  • Gather and submit bids for assigned property projects.
  • Work with TSA Leadership to determine opportunities for expansion and contraction of stores.
  • Submit all financial, civic, property, and legal documents to Administrator for ARC CFB processing and approval.
  • Work with TSA Leadership to complete and submit all necessary documents for lease renewals.
  • Work with ARC Director for Rehabilitation Services in assigning, supervising, and training of beneficiaries to maximize work therapy goals.
Requirements:
  • A bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, or one of the industrial arts and sciences is preferred.
  • Five years of experience in industry with duties including production scheduling, supervision, and recruitment.
  • Must maintain a valid driver's license and qualify to drive TSA vehicles.
  • Must be a fork lift certified driver. Being a certified trainer is preferred.
  • Ability to speak, write, and understand English in a manner sufficient for effective communication with leadership and center personnel.
  • Must have basic computer skills with a working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and be able to become proficient in other proprietary software programs.
  • Must be able to problem solve.
  • Must have good people development and management skills.
Supervisory Responsibility:
  • Oversees the Regional Manager, Store Managers, Warehouse Manager, Transportation Supervisor/Dispatcher, and Maintenance staff.
  • Annually provides direct reports with a personnel review.
  • Oversees time and attendance for assigned personnel using the current payroll system.
  • Checks time logs regularly, following all current regulations and trainings.
  • Reviews payroll and approves for direct reports.
  • Supports and develops supervisors and managers as they provide leadership to the rest of their staff.
  • Ensures the TSA Policies and Procedures for Human Resources are being followed at all levels.
  • Supports managers to create and deliver corrective actions, ensuring all documentation is completed according to TSA HR Policies and Procedures.

Able and willing to travel to each of the center properties on a regular basis.

Able and willing to attend trainings as assigned by Administrator.

Work is performed in a typical warehouse/office/store environment.

Full-time position; will require weekend and evening hours.
