Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement transportation policies and procedures to ensure safe and efficient operations.
- Oversee all transportation operations, including driver management, vehicle maintenance, and route planning.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations related to transportation.
- Implement and maintain safety policies and procedures, and oversee the training of transportation staff on safety best practices.
- Manage and train transportation staff, including hiring, training, and professional development opportunities.
Requirements
- Five to ten years of experience in transportation or logistics, with previous management or supervisory experience.
- Knowledge of Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations, DOT rules and regulations, and compliance software such as SAMSARA/SYGMA.
- Certificate of DOT regulations training is preferred.
