About the Job

At the Department of FISCal, we are seeking an experienced Accounting Administrator I to join our multidisciplinary production system support team. This role plays a pivotal part in ensuring the success of our FI$Cal system by providing customer support, researching and resolving system incidents, and serving as a subject matter expert for various areas.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide Level 2 functional support to end-users, ensuring timely resolution of system-related issues.
  • Coordinate with the State Controller's Office to facilitate the closing of accounting modules for Month-End Close / Year-End Close activities.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for one or more areas such as General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Asset Management (AM), Lease Administration (LM), Project Costing (PC), Grants, Customer contracts (CA).
Requirements and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you should possess excellent communication skills, the ability to work under pressure, and a strong understanding of financial systems and procedures. You will also need to demonstrate a commitment to maintaining a working environment free from discrimination and sexual harassment.

Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $64,000 - $83,000 per year, depending on experience. In addition to a generous salary, we provide a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, dental coverage, vision benefits, and a retirement plan. Our office is located at 2000 Evergreen Street, Sacramento, CA, and we offer a remote-centered position with the flexibility of telework for three or more days per week.
