Job Description and Duties

Job Summary: As an Information Technology Specialist I, you will serve as a programmer/application developer for the Department of Community Services and Development. The incumbent will analyze, design, program, implement, document, test, deploy, debug, and support applications.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain enterprise-wide systems using Microsoft .NET technology and low/no code platforms such as Salesforce.
  • Troubleshoot production issues, conduct root cause analysis, and address application bugs and defects.
  • Document system changes, fixes, processes, and functionalities.
  • Collaborate with peers and customers to provide comprehensive support.
  • Provide ongoing operational support to ensure systems meet business objectives and incorporate the latest technology trends and best practices.

Requirements:

  • Extensive experience in Microsoft IIS administration, HTML, JavaScript, Web programming, XML, WCF Web Services, Microsoft SQL Server database programming, and Microsoft Reporting Services.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
