Job Overview

The Supply Chain Production Coordinator is a pivotal role that combines the responsibilities of both Buyer and Planner, focusing on the support of GCC's key accounts. This position entails a thorough review and response to the daily and weekly planning demands for all designated accounts, which includes, but is not limited to, the Coulter Planning Report and the Coulter in-bound KanBan schedule. The emphasis is on the strategic long-term planning of all material items, MRP, and KanBan systems. This role is essential in balancing the demand from Coulter with the supply capabilities of GCC, while adhering to the company's Purchasing and Inventory policies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Utilize customized Excel spreadsheets to perform the following tasks:
  • Daily creation and updates of the GCC Coulter Shortage Report.
  • Enter, maintain, print, and archive customer orders within GCC's operational system.
  • Coordinate with Sales representatives for new customer Purchase Orders from Coulter to GCC.
  • Address daily inquiries from assigned accounts and collaborate with the Strategic Account Manager and other stakeholders.
  • Manage, acknowledge, and expedite GCC's Purchase Orders to the manufacturing facility.

Additional Duties:

  • Investigate and rectify errors related to GCC's Purchase Orders, receiving discrepancies, pricing issues, etc.
  • Maintain accurate Inventory Control numbers along with all pertinent information, notes, and assemblies.
  • Plan, input, and oversee Production Orders for KanBan deliveries and the Build-for-Stock initiative.
  • Generate and analyze weekly Reorder Reports to ensure all demands and changes in P-21 are addressed.
  • Assist in resolving inventory discrepancies identified during order processing or cycle counting.
  • Process all requests for RGAs from assigned accounts and maintain the RGA log for tracking materials.
  • Review and authorize CAE Production Orders using the GCC CAE P-Lab #2 software.
  • Engage in the organization's continuous improvement initiatives to comply with ISO 9001 standards and understand the implications of non-conformance with the Quality Management System.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Education and Experience:

  • Associate's degree required; Bachelor's degree preferred with a focus on business, supply chain, or inventory management.
  • Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.

Preferred Skills and Knowledge:

  • Three to five years of experience in inventory planning utilizing MRP enterprise software, along with project or office management experience.
  • Experience in an ISO 9001 environment is advantageous.

Essential Skills:

  • Proficient in clerical tasks and job-tracking software.
  • Strong command of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook).
  • Self-driven with exceptional communication, teamwork, and customer service skills.
  • Adept at problem-solving and managing situations with limited standardization.
  • Ability to interpret various forms of instructions and develop comprehensive plans with input from multiple departments.
  • Effective in communicating ideas persuasively and inspiring commitment from others.
