Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess manufacturing schedules and coordinate the availability and controlled flow of materials and services to fulfill customer needs.
  • Execute shop order release and closure within the MRP System while reconciling parts.
  • Provide comprehensive updates on work progress, material availability, and communicate any scheduling constraints.
  • Prepare work orders for part production based on MRP, master production schedules, shop load, and inventory requirements.
  • Facilitate interdepartmental collaboration with warehouse, inspection, quality, operations, purchasing, engineering, logistics, and program teams.
  • Schedule and expedite the movement of parts through move orders, stock transfers, and shipping requests.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to address material shortages with procurement, receiving, quality, and other production areas.
  • Implement material stocking strategies on production lines, monitoring and maintaining appropriate floor stock levels.
  • Manage access and consumption of materials in manufacturing processes.
  • Track the flow and velocity of jobs through the production line, partnering with Production to ensure timely completion.
  • Oversee the disposition velocity of MRB and stranded materials.
  • Record material transactions in the ERP system.
  • Generate reports and document any shortages or damages.
  • Process scrap and obsolete inventory from WIP locations as necessary.
  • Prepare for, conduct, and assist in cycle count reconciliations.
  • Collaborate with Engineering and Warehousing teams to resolve part discrepancies.
  • May require interfacing with various departments across the organization.
  • Exhibit strong organizational skills, collaborative abilities, sound decision-making, and innovative thinking.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in supply chain, logistics, scheduling, demand planning, or related fields.
  • Familiarity with Materials Requirement Planning (MRP).
  • Experience in planning and/or scheduling activities.
  • Proven ability to work effectively within cross-functional teams.
  • Proficient in MS Office and ERP systems, with a focus on MRP execution.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Understanding and application of continuous improvement methodologies such as LEAN, Six Sigma principles, DFSS, Lean design principles, Value Stream, and Kaizen.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen, national, permanent resident, or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Willingness to work varied shifts, overtime, weekends, and occasional travel.
  • Ability to work in environments that may involve exposure to fumes, dust, chemicals, outdoor weather, and moving mechanical parts.
  • Experience with ERP systems.
  • Capacity to manage multiple decisions based on workload distribution, program priorities, and management/customer directives.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.).
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including excellent written and oral communication abilities.
  • Solid math and analytical skills for problem-solving.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
