Job Description

Job Title: CDL Driver I - Supply Chain Specialist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced CDL Driver I - Supply Chain Specialist to join our team at Transforce. As a key member of our supply chain team, you will be responsible for delivering products to/from customers, company branch/warehouse locations, and company suppliers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Delivery and Logistics: Ensure that deliveries are prepared to meet customer requirements in the most efficient manner, and materials are correct and free of damage.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Inspect company vehicle for visual and operating defects, and complete a daily inspection report.
  • Safety and Compliance: Follow Department of Transportation (DOT), local and state driving laws and regulations.
  • Customer Service: Ensure all appropriate documentation is thoroughly completed at the time of delivery, including delivery receipt is signed by the customer, packing list and branch/warehouse manifest.
  • Supply Chain Support: Assist in preparing orders for delivery, and pick up material returns from customers and company suppliers.

Requirements:

  • Experience: 7+ years of driving experience and 1+ years of CDL driving experience preferred.
  • License: Must have a valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
  • Age: Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Background: Must pass a pre-employment and annual review of their Motor Vehicle Record.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge: Strong knowledge of safety regulations, and be familiar with traffic and driver laws.
  • Skills: Excellent organizational and time management skills, ability to meet deadlines, and excellent customer service skills.
