About the Role

Midland Scientific, Inc. is seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Sales Representative to join our team. As a Sales Representative, you will be responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, as well as providing exceptional sales support to our existing and future customers within your designated territory.

Key Responsibilities
  • Pursue New Business Opportunities: Develop and execute strategies to identify and pursue new sales opportunities through relationship building, in-person sales calls, product demonstrations, and creating and following through on quotes.
  • Build Strong Business Relationships: Foster and maintain strong business relationships with current and future customers through consistent communication, follow-through, and a customer-focused mindset.
  • Provide Excellent Sales Support: Deliver exceptional sales support to customers through consistency, follow-through, and a commitment to innovatively meeting their needs.
  • Attend Sales Meetings: Participate in bi-annual sales meetings to stay informed about company updates, share best practices, and collaborate with colleagues.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree required; a degree in Biology, Chemistry, or Supply Chain Management is preferred.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Attitude and Mindset: Positive attitude with a customer-focused mindset.
  • Self-Motivation: Self-motivated professional with a strong ability to work independently and consistently demonstrate initiative.
  • Organizational Skills: Exceptional organizational and follow-through skills.
  • Experience: Some laboratory experience is preferred.
