Job Overview

Avient Corporation is in search of a Client Relations Supervisor to lead our customer service team. This role is pivotal in enhancing and expanding our current customer relationships by delivering prompt, accurate, cost-effective, and seamless service.

The Client Relations Supervisor will also act as a resource for Customer Service Representatives (CSRs), leveraging expertise in SAP to support the department effectively.

This position encompasses management duties for personnel and daily operations within the Customer Service Group.

Key Responsibilities


• Provide strategic leadership to a team of direct reports, including conducting performance reviews, addressing personnel matters, implementing performance improvement plans, managing personnel transitions, and offering mentorship and coaching.

• Share knowledge and SAP expertise with CSRs across the Advanced Composites division.

• Set and pursue objectives for the team and individual members, collaborating with the Supply Chain Manager and other departments.

• Foster continuous improvement initiatives within the team and streamline the order fulfillment process.
• Cultivate and manage accounts assigned to Inside Sales.
• Engage in proactive communication and outreach to target markets within designated product categories.
• Maintain a close working relationship with leadership and various Avient business units.
• Collaborate closely with Planning and Commercial teams.
• Oversee the daily functions of the Customer Service Department.
• Organize and facilitate training sessions as required.
• Certify CSRs in their execution of SAP tasks.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Experience

• A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience is mandatory.
• Proficiency in SAP is essential.
• 5-7 years of experience in Customer Service, Order Management, and Account Management.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in a managerial role overseeing direct reports.

• Proven ability to lead teams, drive engagement, and uphold accountability.
• Exceptional attention to detail and strong analytical capabilities.
• Self-driven with effective time and priority management skills.
• Capable of leading and training team members.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.
• Proficient in PC applications, including Excel, MS Word, and PowerPoint.
• Strong communication skills for one-on-one interactions, group settings, and cross-organizational collaboration.
Physical Requirements


While performing the responsibilities of this role, the employee is frequently required to sit, stand, walk, and use hands to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls.

Work is conducted in a standard office environment.
Environmental, Health, Safety, & Security (EHS&S) Responsibilities

Furthermore, employees and management must report any EHS&S incidents immediately to prioritize EHS&S within the organization.
