Job Details

The Children's Home of Poughkeepsie is seeking a highly skilled Administrative Assistant to join our team in Ulster County, New York.

This role will provide essential support to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of our Children's Mental Health Clinic(s). As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will work under the direct supervision of the Clinic Supervisor to provide administrative support to clinicians and maintain accurate records.

Responsibilities include:

  • Managing daily administrative tasks and scheduling appointments
  • Maintaining staff calendars and facilitating communication between staff and clients
  • Ensuring accurate records, including health insurance information

This is a full-time position, 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday, 11am-8pm. The location is 368 Broadway in Kingston, NY.

Qualifications

Minimum qualifications include:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Excellent phone skills
  • Comfortable working with the public, in person and by phone
  • Demonstrated clerical skills
  • Strong computer and word processing skills
  • Valid NYS Driver License in good condition

PREFERRED qualifications include:

  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Experience with Medicaid/managed care and other types of client billings
  • Associate's Degree or higher education
