Job Overview

Position: Telecommunications Installer DC (Level II)

KMM Telecommunications is seeking a dedicated and experienced Low Voltage/DC Technician to enhance our team of telecommunications experts. This role requires a commitment to excellence and a strong background in low voltage and DC battery installation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install and set up low voltage systems in accordance with manufacturer guidelines and industry standards.
  • Perform testing, routine maintenance, and quality assurance checks to ensure systems operate effectively.
  • Guarantee that all installations comply with safety regulations and company policies.
  • Maintain comprehensive records of installations, including as-built drawings, repairs, and maintenance logs.
  • Follow safety protocols diligently while on the job.
  • Identify and address potential safety risks proactively.
  • Travel to various job sites as required.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in low voltage/DC equipment installation.
  • Proficient in installing PDF's and -48V battery systems.
  • Capable of operating motorized lift equipment for battery installation and removal.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license.
  • Ability to frequently lift or pull cables weighing up to 60 lbs.
  • Comfortable climbing ladders up to 8 ft and standing on ladders for extended periods.
  • Frequent bending, twisting, and reaching above shoulder level.
  • Ability to work in varying environments with moderate noise and temperature fluctuations.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in field engineering.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Relevant electrical degree, certification, or apprenticeship.
  • Familiarity with AC electrical systems.
