Role Summary

StateFire DC Specialties is a prominent name in the fire protection sector, recognized for our exceptional skills in the installation and maintenance of vital safety systems. Our extensive range of services encompasses fire alarms, kitchen fire suppression systems, security measures, and more, ensuring the utmost protection for our clients' properties and personnel.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the installation and upkeep of fire alarm systems, access control mechanisms, CCTV, and various low voltage systems.
  • Ensure daily safety documentation is completed, including Field Level Risk Assessments and pre-operational vehicle checks.
  • Conduct maintenance service calls as required.
  • Respond to emergency service or warranty calls and assess the situation.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and efficient work environment for all service and construction tasks.
  • Oversee the work of subcontractors and other team members to ensure project completion.
  • Foster positive relationships with project managers and property managers.
  • Coordinate with vendors and subcontractors for scheduling and material procurement.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in low voltage systems, particularly in fire alarms, access control, CCTV, and security.
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints.
  • Capable of following directions and completing necessary job documentation.
  • Able to work independently to complete projects when required.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with colleagues and subcontractors.
  • Excellent communication skills in English.
  • Familiarity with hand tools and trade-specific equipment.
  • Organized, dependable, and self-driven.
  • Experience in additional low voltage fields (audio, visual, phone, data, CATV) is advantageous.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record is required.
  • Ability to pass a national criminal background check and pre-employment drug test.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to sit, stand, kneel, crouch, or stoop for extended periods.
  • Capability to operate a motor vehicle.
  • Comfortable climbing ladders and navigating confined spaces.
  • Ability to lift and transport objects weighing up to 70 pounds without assistance.
  • Willingness to work in both indoor and outdoor environments.
