Position Summary

Under the guidance of the Senior Vice President, the Marketing Coordinator plays a crucial role in developing, executing, and managing marketing initiatives that drive business growth for MST Insurance Solutions, Inc. This position involves collaborating with the Business Development team to prepare analytical reports and presentation materials, ensuring quality assurance, and fostering strong relationships with our network of Japanese corporate clients. The Marketing Coordinator is also responsible for conducting research and providing strategic recommendations for attracting new clients through our diverse range of insurance products, including life, property, casualty, health, and automotive insurance. Proficiency in both spoken and written Japanese is essential, along with experience in marketing insurance services to Japanese businesses.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor sales and business development metrics by evaluating business objectives, sales strategies, and marketing plans while keeping the team informed of market dynamics.
  • Assist in drafting and executing contracts and agreements with current and potential insurance clients and associated business partners.
  • Support the Business Development Director in compiling reports on operational performance for executive leadership and offer insights on corporate strategy and sales policy enhancements.
  • Oversee the creation, procurement, and distribution of promotional materials.
  • Prepare materials for client presentations and prospecting efforts.
  • Assist the Business Development Team with quality assurance tasks, including coordinating risk assessments and responding to inquiries from carrier partners.
  • Continuously analyze emerging trends in the insurance sector and provide timely research findings to the Business Development team.
  • Offer strategic recommendations to leadership based on market analysis and client discovery.
  • Engage with potential clients through in-person or virtual meetings to assess their current insurance needs and future requirements.
  • Implement a comprehensive sales strategy that encompasses effective prospecting and business acquisition.
  • Possess a thorough understanding of MSTIS’s full range of property and casualty and employee benefits products to assist clients effectively.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with colleagues, clients, and vendors.
  • Manage prospect data and track engagement activities.
  • Ensure confidentiality of company and client information, including sensitive pricing and market data.
  • Undertake special projects and additional responsibilities as assigned by senior management.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
  • A minimum of three years of experience in sales and/or marketing.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Native-level proficiency in Japanese, both spoken and written.
  • At least three years of experience marketing services to Japanese clients.
  • Ability to work independently and make informed decisions.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Must obtain and maintain active Property and Casualty Insurance and/or Life and Health Insurance Agent License.
  • Willingness to travel as required for client meetings.
