About the Role

Belmont Behavioral Hospital is a leading provider of comprehensive treatment for mental health conditions and substance abuse problems. With over 75 years of experience, we offer high-quality and specialized programming options for children, adolescents, adults, and older adults suffering from psychiatric concerns and chemical dependency.

We are currently seeking a Dietary Aide to join our Food Services Department. The successful candidate will be responsible for assembling trays, serving food in the cafeteria, and performing various tasks related to food preparation and transportation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assemble trays according to diets on the tray line
  • Serve food in the cafeteria
  • Transport food trucks to units
  • Clean equipment, dishes, and prepare snacks
  • Put stock away and maintain a clean and organized work area
  • Follow the "clean as you go" motto and properly store food
  • Cover, label, and date all foods to be stored in refrigerators, freezers, and storage rooms
  • Follow assignments on daily production sheets and notify the Director if unable to complete an assignment prior to the end of the shift
  • Communicate with the Director regarding any production or storage problems
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent required
  • Culinary training or minimum of three years' experience with high-volume cooking preferred
