Job Title: Mental Health Dietary Unit Coordinator

COMHAR, Inc. is a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering individuals through health and human services. We are currently seeking a full-time Mental Health Dietary Unit Coordinator to join our team.

Job Summary:

The Mental Health Dietary Unit Coordinator will oversee food service operations at our clubhouse, working directly with members who have serious mental illness. Responsibilities include leading daily meetings, training and supporting members, organizing food service tasks, ensuring health and safety compliance, managing food budgets, and preparing meals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Facilitate Unit Meetings to discuss tasks and encourage member involvement.
  • Work collaboratively with members and staff to plan and carry out the Work Ordered Day (WOD).
  • Maintain health and safety standards, ensuring the safety of members and security of Clubhouse property and equipment.
  • Manage food coupon accounts, engage members in shopping trips, and assist with daily accounting activities.
  • Prepare and serve breakfast and lunch daily, as well as meals on special occasions.
  • Perform Placement Management Functions, including on-site job coaching and documentation.
  • Provide required documentation for Food Service Unit members, including progress reports.
Requirements:
  • Associate Degree with at least 2 years of experience in the mental health field.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • ServSafe Certification (or obtained within 60 days of hire).
