At UHS, we are seeking a skilled Utility Worker to join our Dietary Services team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and sanitary kitchen and dining room area, ensuring that all food preparation and storage areas meet the highest standards of cleanliness and safety.

The successful candidate will have experience in food service, preferably in a hospital or healthcare setting, and will be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. You will be responsible for receiving incoming deliveries, maintaining stock in the storage and dining room areas, and delivering patient meal trays to the units.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a clean and sanitary kitchen and dining room area
  • Assume dishwashing and pot responsibilities
  • Receive incoming deliveries and maintain stock in the storage and dining room areas
  • Deliver patient meal trays to the units
  • Prepare patient food trays in accordance with specified dietary requirements

Requirements:

  • Experience in food service, preferably in a hospital or healthcare setting
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of basic math, equipment usage, cleaning products, safety, and infection control practices
