Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Patient Service Representative II to join our team at Regional One Health. As a key member of our medical clinic, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Registration and Verification: Verify patient identity, address, and benefit information, and ensure accurate registration data is entered into our system.
  • Co-pay Collection: Collect co-pays and outstanding self-pay balances, provide receipts, and maintain accurate records.
  • Clinical Tasks: Perform various clinical tasks, such as taking vital signs, collecting specimens, and conducting EKGs and blood collections, as assigned.
  • Communication and Scheduling: Update patients on wait times, schedule follow-up appointments, and provide assistance with referrals as directed.
  • Compliance and Confidentiality: Maintain confidentiality of patient and hospital information, adhere to HIPAA and other regulatory requirements, and ensure compliance with department and organization policies.
Requirements
  • Education: Completion of an approved Medical Assistant program.
  • Certification: National certification as a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) within 9 months of hire.
  • Experience: At least 1 year of experience as a medical assistant.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and proficiency in electronic medical records systems.
