We are seeking a skilled Lead Hydraulic Engineer for Water Resource Solutions to join our dynamic team in the Carolinas Region.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Directing the analysis, design, and administration of construction projects, along with the creation of technical documentation, plans, and specifications related to stormwater management for various stakeholders.
  • Conducting water quality assessments and designing Best Management Practices (BMPs) in accordance with state standards.
  • Supervising the development of erosion and sediment control strategies and Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plans (SWPPPs).
  • Managing multiple diverse projects concurrently.
  • Building and nurturing client relationships while maintaining a commitment to quality, innovation, and integrity.
  • Engaging in business development activities, proposal writing, and client relationship management.
  • Collaborating with leadership and marketing teams to support project development.
Qualifications:
  • A Bachelor’s degree in civil or environmental engineering, or a related field from an ABET-accredited institution.
  • Active Professional Engineer (PE) license.
  • A minimum of 5 years of technical and project management experience, including but not limited to:
    • Comprehensive knowledge of drainage study guidelines, standards, and practices.
    • Hydrologic and Hydraulic modeling.
    • Expertise in bridge, culvert, and river mechanics/hydraulics.
    • Development of erosion and sediment control plans.
    • Proficiency in various software applications such as MicroStation, Civil 3D, PCSWMM, StormCad, HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, and ARC-GIS.
    • Experience with land disturbance permits and SWPPP.
    • Familiarity with GEOPAK Drainage and/or SUDA; OpenRoads experience is advantageous.
  • Understanding of TMDL action plans and their implementation is preferred.
