Job Summary:

As a Behavioral Health Psychology Manager II at Kaiser Permanente, you will be responsible for overseeing the administration and client caseload of a medium-sized group or program. This role requires a strong understanding of budget management, counseling, and disciplinary responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Budget Management: Develop and implement budget recommendations to ensure efficient use of resources.
  • Counseling and Disciplinary Responsibilities: Conduct performance evaluations, allocate resources, and have overall personnel management responsibility.
  • Program Design and Operations: Oversee the design and operations of the program, including access outcomes and resource allocation.
  • Team Leadership: Lead a larger team, such as Adult/Child or CDS, and provide guidance and support to team members.
  • Regional Committee Participation: Participate in regional committees to contribute to the development of policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
  • Experience: Minimum of two (2) years of professional experience under the direction of a licensed psychologist or board-certified psychiatrist.
  • Education: Ph.D, Psy.D, or Ed.D in clinical or counseling required from an accredited college or university.
  • License and Certification: Psychologist License (California) and National Provider Identifier required at hire.
Additional Requirements:
  • Knowledge and Skills: Knowledge of social service agencies, state regulations, and APA standards as it relates to client treatment, patient rights, and client/patient confidentiality.
  • Previous Clinical Responsibilities: Previous clinical responsibilities to include psychological testing, diagnosis, crisis intervention, brief individual and group psychotherapy.
  • Knowledge of Psychological Testing Techniques: Knowledge of psychological testing techniques, administration, and interpretation.
  • Interpersonal and Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Labor/Management Partnership: Ability to work in a Labor/Management Partnership environment.
