Job SummaryThe successful candidate will be assigned to the Forensic Assertive Community Treatment (FACT) program, which provides services to individuals with serious mental illness who are involved with the criminal justice system. The ideal candidate will have a background in providing psycho-social-behavioral services to children, adolescents, and their families.
Key Responsibilities- Provide psycho-social-behavioral services to clients in a community setting
- Develop and implement treatment plans to address clients' mental health needs
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care
- Document client progress and maintain accurate records
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge
- Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g. psychology, social work, counseling)
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in mental health services (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
- Knowledge of principles of psychiatric, psycho-social, and behavioral social work counseling
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with clients, families, and other healthcare professionals
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Effective problem-solving skills
- Bilingual/bicultural skills (read, write, and speak)
- Master's degree in a related field (e.g. social work, counseling, psychology)
- Valid clinical license (e.g. social work, marriage and family child counselor) issued by the State of California
