About the Role

The Patient Access Specialist for Neurosurgery plays a crucial role in ensuring seamless patient experiences. This position is responsible for managing patient access needs and initiating the revenue cycle effectively. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing outstanding customer service by welcoming and registering patients, while accurately collecting necessary information for clinical and financial services.
  • Gathering essential demographic and insurance details, scheduling appointments, and processing co-payments and deposits.
  • Understanding the implications of accurate information on clinical operations and the revenue cycle.

Key Responsibilities

  • Exemplifying Billings Clinic's mission and values through professional conduct and service excellence.
  • Ensuring compliance with all organizational and departmental standards related to safety and job performance.
  • Creating positive first impressions for patients and visitors.
  • Educating patients about necessary documentation and obtaining their signatures as required.
  • Validating insurance information and coordinating with providers to secure necessary authorizations.
  • Scheduling appointments based on patient needs and provider protocols.
  • Promoting the use of Billings Clinic's patient portal and assisting patients with access.
  • Collecting payments and maintaining accurate financial records.

Qualifications

  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required; some college coursework in healthcare is preferred.
  • Demonstrated excellence in customer service, with at least one year of experience in a similar role, preferably in a healthcare setting.
