Your Role
As a Patient Access Specialist in Neurosurgery, you will play a vital role in facilitating the efficient management of patient access needs while initiating the revenue cycle process. Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing exceptional customer service by welcoming and registering patients, ensuring accurate collection of demographic and insurance information.
- Scheduling appointments in accordance with the needs of patients and providers, while adhering to specific protocols.
- Educating patients about necessary forms and procedures, ensuring they understand the information required for their care.
- Collecting co-payments and deposits, processing payments, and maintaining accurate financial records.
- Coordinating with various departments to secure necessary authorizations and ensure a seamless patient experience.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, candidates should possess:
- A high school diploma or equivalent; additional education in healthcare or related fields is preferred.
- Proven customer service skills, with at least one year of experience in a similar role, preferably in a healthcare setting.
