Position Overview

AECOM is looking for a Senior Water/Wastewater Project Manager to enhance our Water Group. This position will involve managing client relationships with municipal contracts, with a strong preference for candidates experienced in water and wastewater treatment facilities, sanitary sewer stations, booster pump stations, and transmission or distribution mains.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee technical aspects of design teams for projects related to municipal water, wastewater, and drainage infrastructure enhancements.
  • Provide specialized technical guidance for studies and designs in specific areas of expertise.
  • Engage in interdisciplinary reviews of project outputs.
  • Prepare construction cost estimates and technical effort assessments for projects.
  • Conduct quality control evaluations of design calculations and drawings.
  • Draft technical specification sections.
  • Contribute to the formulation of engineering budgets and schedules to fulfill project requirements.
  • Mentor and guide junior and mid-level engineers.
  • Conduct municipal water quality assessments, disinfection processes, and sustainability studies for water supply and systems design (including water treatment facilities and pump stations).
  • Perform audits for Safe Drinking Water Programs and water treatment plants.
  • Analyze water main replacements, vulnerability assessments, and emergency response strategies.
Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:
  • BA/BS degree with 8 years of relevant experience or a demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Possession of a Texas P.E. license.
  • Over 10 years of experience in the water/wastewater sector.
  • At least 5 years of experience in project management.
