Position Overview:
We are seeking a Water/Wastewater Pipeline Engineer (EIT) to join our Water Practice Group in our Dallas and Fort Worth locations. This role offers the opportunity to lead and contribute to the development and execution of water and wastewater projects in Texas and beyond, working alongside a team of passionate professionals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Engage with clients and manage communications related to specific projects, including developing construction cost estimates.
  • Participate in client meetings, demonstrating commitment to project success.
  • Analyze various data sources, including maps, drawings, and soil compositions, to inform project planning and design.
  • Prepare design calculations and quantity estimates for project components.
  • Draft and modify reports, specifications, plans, and environmental impact studies as needed.
  • Guide drafting personnel in creating working contract drawings.
  • Occasionally perform CAD drafting to support project needs.
  • Monitor construction sites to ensure adherence to contract documents.
  • Act as the onsite representative for projects, ensuring quality and compliance.
  • Utilize engineering software to produce design documents and reports.
  • Contribute to quality assurance tasks as outlined in project plans.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • EIT certification is required.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience with small and large diameter water and sewer pipelines.
  • Ability to interpret technical documents and effectively communicate with diverse audiences.
  • Experience with pipeline hydraulics and familiarity with modeling software such as InfoWater, InfoWorks ICM, WaterGems, or WaterCAD is preferred.
  • Proven experience in the design and construction of water and wastewater infrastructure.
  • Experience collaborating with local municipalities and utility companies.
  • Strong leadership, communication, planning, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in scheduling, spreadsheet, document, and database software.
