Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough research and evaluation of data to inform engineering decisions.
  • Perform field reviews and assessments to identify infrastructure needs and opportunities for improvement.
  • Develop detailed engineering calculations and models to support project design and implementation.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to create and submit technical reports, presentations, and exhibits.
  • Prepare hydraulic modeling and technical reports for agency review and approval.
  • Design and develop detailed construction drawings, including horizontal and vertical alignments, plan and profile, utility design, and rehabilitation.
  • Prepare construction cost estimates and quantity takeoffs to ensure project feasibility and budget adherence.
  • Coordinate with internal teams, government entities, utility service providers, and subconsultants to ensure project success.
  • Manage task assignments to ensure budget and schedule adherence.
  • Review and ensure the accuracy of all work products.
  • Embed and promote division, regional, and company values, policies, and practices within the survey service.
  • Lead by example, demonstrating solid judgment, good values, trust, honesty, openness, and professionalism.
Requirements:
  • Outgoing, friendly, and approachable demeanor.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong sense of urgency and self-initiative to meet project deadlines.
  • Detail-oriented with an ability to contribute to a positive work environment.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Prior exposure to AutoDesk Civil3D and Microsoft Office applications.
  • 0-2+ years of relevant engineering experience in Water/Wastewater.
  • BS in Civil Engineering (or related engineering field as approved by hiring manager).
  • EIT certification or the ability to obtain within 6 months.
