Role Description

KFA seeks a seasoned Civil Engineer and Project Manager with over 10 years of expertise in planning, design, and management of water and wastewater infrastructure projects. This role involves overseeing utility design and municipal projects, with a focus on:
  • Guiding junior engineers and technical staff to ensure high-quality design outputs.
  • Conducting civil engineering analysis, detailing, and production of project plans.
  • Managing project tasks, budgets, schedules, and client communications.
The successful candidate will also have the opportunity to mentor junior staff while engaging in a variety of public infrastructure projects across Central Texas.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering.
  • Texas PE license or eligibility to obtain within six months of employment.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in municipal infrastructure, specifically in water and wastewater systems.
  • At least 3 years of project management experience with proven budget and schedule oversight.
  • Experience in mentoring and managing junior staff.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Strong communication skills, capable of conveying technical information to diverse audiences.
Preferred Skills
  • Experience working with various municipalities and presenting to councils or boards.
  • Background in writing Statements of Qualifications and engaging in business development activities.
