Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Box Office Representative to join our team at NJ Performing Arts. As a key member of our Ticket Services department, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and support to our patrons.

Key Responsibilities
  • Face-to-Face Ticket Sales: Handle ticket sales and customer inquiries in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Subscription and Single Ticket Sales: Process all subscription ticket and single ticket sales, parking, and gift certificate orders in our ticketing system.
  • Customer Support: Provide backup support for phone calls and assist with outbound customer support calls for event changes and cancellations.
  • Cash Handling: Efficiently and accurately manage a cash drawer and balance at the end of each shift.
  • Event Support: Assist patrons at the box office during pre-performance and intermission.
  • Knowledge of Events: Acquire and maintain knowledge of all events and performances presented at NJ Performing Arts.
Requirements
  • Education: High School diploma required.
  • Experience: Two (2) years of work experience, customer service or sales experience a plus.
  • Skills: Excellent customer service skills, familiarity with the keyboard, PC literate, and good verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bilingual: Bilingual (English/Portuguese) preferred.

Working Conditions: Saturday and Sunday availability is required.
