Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Sales Representative to join our team at Blackbird Recruiting. The ideal candidate will be responsible for selling lumber products to customers, building and maintaining client relationships, and driving sales growth in the lumber industry.

Key Responsibilities
  • Sales and Business Development: Identify and reach out to potential customers to promote and sell lumber products.
  • Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients to ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Product Knowledge: Understand customer needs and recommend appropriate lumber products to meet their requirements.
  • Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service and support to address inquiries, resolve issues, and ensure a positive customer experience.
  • Sales Strategy and Planning: Collaborate with the sales team and management to develop sales strategies, set sales targets, and achieve revenue goals.
  • Market Research: Keep up-to-date with industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities to identify opportunities for growth.
  • Sales Presentations: Prepare and deliver sales presentations, proposals, and contracts to prospective clients.
  • Pricing and Negotiation: Negotiate pricing and terms of sale with customers to maximize profitability and maintain competitive pricing.
  • Sales Performance Monitoring: Monitor sales performance, track key metrics, and report on sales activities to management regularly.
  • Industry Events: Attend industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities to promote the company and generate leads.
Requirements
  • Experience: Proven experience in sales, preferably in the lumber industry.
  • Knowledge: Strong knowledge of lumber products, grades, sizes, and applications.
  • Skills: Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability: Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet sales targets.
  • Customer Focus: Customer-focused with a passion for building and maintaining client relationships.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in CRM software, Microsoft Office, and sales reporting tools.
  • Travel: Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to meet with clients as needed.
  • Work Ethic: Results-driven with a strong work ethic and a positive attitude.
