Role Overview
The Senior Vice President of Commercial Strategy will oversee the commercial operations for multiple divisions within our institution and will report directly to the Executive Vice President.

This position is responsible for building and leading a high-performing team of commercial operations professionals, developing processes and infrastructure, establishing success metrics, and achieving strategic objectives.

The Senior Vice President will possess the ability to operate at a strategic level, leveraging their experience in commercial operations to lead a highly engaged team focused on innovation and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of commercial opportunities through research and data analysis.
  • Identify key drivers and barriers impacting organizational performance.
  • Pinpoint opportunities to enhance overall business performance.
  • Develop databases and infrastructure to support analytics and insights.
  • Translate data into actionable insights for leadership.
  • Lead training and development initiatives for the sales team across all divisions.
  • Formulate short-term and long-term commercial forecasts.
  • Analyze marketing strategies to ensure optimal return on investment.
  • Align the commercial operations strategy with the overall institutional goals.
  • Oversee effectiveness and enablement operations, including territory planning and performance tracking.
  • Facilitate the development of customer insights and sales enablement tools.
  • Support the design and maintenance of sales technology solutions.
  • Lead all customer service initiatives.
  • Enhance internal content creation processes to improve efficiency.

Qualifications

A Bachelor’s degree is required; a background in Marketing, Finance, or Data Analytics is preferred, with an MBA or advanced degree being advantageous.

A minimum of 15 years of experience in the educational sector, including significant exposure to various aspects of commercial operations, is essential.

Proven success in managing complex operations and driving operational excellence is crucial.

Strong financial acumen and experience in budget management are required.

Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills are necessary.

Ability to develop and implement strategic plans and drive organizational change is essential.

Experience with process improvement methodologies is a plus.

Experience in collaborating with various departments to achieve business objectives is highly valued.
