Position Summary:
To sustain our growth trajectory in this vibrant field, we are on the lookout for dedicated, skilled, and client-oriented professionals to join our accomplished team as a Vice President of Client Engagement. This role can be performed remotely or at our designated office location.

The Vice President of Client Engagement will be instrumental in identifying new client and project opportunities, advocating for Everest's exceptional service offerings, and collaborating with our proposals team to craft customized budgets and proposals that align with the needs of our clients and the strategic goals of Everest.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Identify and pursue new client and project opportunities that resonate with Everest's value proposition.
  2. Utilize databases to uncover potential leads and proactively engage with prospective clients.
  3. Collaborate with existing clients to uncover new work opportunities through our client account leaders.
  4. Facilitate the introduction and expansion of services for current clients in partnership with account leaders.
  5. Meet and exceed assigned sales objectives.
  6. Lead efforts in identifying, preparing for, and participating in key conferences and trade shows to actively promote Everest's capabilities.
  7. Respond promptly to inquiries from clients and potential clients.
  8. Develop and nurture long-term, trust-based relationships with both new and existing clients, gaining a deep understanding of their organizations, challenges, and competitive environments.
  9. Effectively present and communicate Everest's capabilities to stakeholders.
  10. Maintain and enhance knowledge of all Everest services to identify cross-selling opportunities.
  11. Ensure that appropriate delivery and pricing strategies are proposed to meet client needs.
  12. Coordinate with the contracts and proposals team and Everest's functional leaders to create effective requests for information (RFIs) and proposals (RFPs).
  13. Collaborate with operations and subject matter experts to prepare tailored content for client-specific inquiries during bid defense presentations.
  14. Oversee the completion of contractual documents in conjunction with the contracts and proposals team.
  15. Work alongside Everest's senior commercial leaders to refine and enhance the business development function, focusing on:
    1. Defining and implementing essential sales processes, procedures, and templates.
    2. Evaluating and deploying sales systems and market intelligence tools.
    3. Creating improved sales materials, contract templates, and bid defense resources.
    4. Establishing and monitoring sales operational metrics for continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

  1. A bachelor's or master's degree in a relevant field such as science or business.
  2. 8-12 years of experience in business development or sales within the clinical research industry, specifically with a Clinical Research Organization.
  3. A proven track record of securing business with pharmaceutical and biotechnology sponsors.
  4. A strong industry reputation with an extensive network of contacts.
  5. Demonstrated experience in leading both direct and cross-functional teams to enhance performance.
  6. Outstanding interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively communicate at all organizational levels.
  7. Exceptional written communication and presentation abilities.
  8. Willingness to travel as needed for business purposes.
