Position Overview

Program Focus: Developmental Disability Services

Reporting To: Senior Vice President, Mental Health Services

Compensation: $70,000 - $84,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications

The Director of Services (DOS) is tasked with the comprehensive oversight of all Residential Programs and Program Managers. This role acts as a pivotal resource for strategic program planning and management, delivering essential clinical, administrative, and operational support. The DOS is empowered to set personal performance standards within the framework of the agency's policies and objectives. This position entails travel responsibilities, as the DOS will be required to visit and supervise multiple residential programs, necessitating regular travel.

Key Responsibilities

Clinical and Financial Oversight:

  • Plan, organize, and coordinate significant segments of the organization while demonstrating sound judgment, initiative, and leadership capabilities to proactively address clinical, organizational, and administrative challenges.
  • Review contract budgets prior to submission to the Contracts Manager, with potential responsibilities for budget development in the absence of the Program Director.
  • Conduct monthly reviews of Income and Expense Statements, collaborating with Program Directors and financial staff to identify and resolve issues.
  • Prepare grant proposals to secure funding for programs.
  • Oversee compliance with Licensing, CARF, QUEST, OSHA, and Quality Assurance standards.
  • Assist in the design and development of innovative programs, collaborating with the Vice President to broaden the funding base.
  • Provide ongoing guidance and support to Program Directors.
  • Engage in the Management Training Series for senior staff, under the direction of the Director of Training.
  • Conduct fiscal and data analysis to inform decision-making.
  • Lead the formulation and implementation of strategic planning for multiple programs, contributing to corporate-wide plans and objectives.
  • Interact with program staff, the public, and external organization representatives, exercising discretion and professionalism.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
  • Limited remote work is available, approximately 8-10 hours per week.
Qualifications

Professional Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Human Services or a related field.
  • Five to seven years of relevant experience in service management.

Personal Attributes:

  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Capability to develop and implement policies and program directions.

Additional Qualifications:

  • Possession of a valid driver's license and compliance with the company's insurance standards.
  • Successful completion of a criminal record assessment.
  • Access to a personal vehicle for travel purposes.
