Job Summary

The PC Support Technician will provide technical assistance and support to end-users, ensuring the seamless operation of our government IT systems. This role requires strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide help desk information and support, determining the cause of problems and offering temporary solutions when necessary.
  • Respond to user inquiries and requests, providing technical assistance on PC systems, hardware, and software.
  • Install, configure, troubleshoot, and support PC/server hardware and software.
  • Install and configure software upgrades, configure operating systems to enhance PC performance, and install network interfaces and Internet connections.
  • Diagnose network cable and configuration problems, install and maintain specialized software, and coordinate support with the local Network Enterprise Center.
  • Services support tickets for Training Management Directorate (TMD) users and implements and designs organization-wide standards for information systems.
  • Provides on-call support outside of core work hours for unscheduled events or scheduled service interruptions.
Requirements
  • US Citizen
  • Secret Clearance (willing to sponsor the right candidate)
  • IAT Level I Certification (CompTIA A+ CE, Sec+ CE, equivalent or higher)
  • Two (2+) years of related experience
  • Windows workstation systems administration training
  • CE certificate in MS Server 2016, Server 2019, Windows 10, or Microsoft Modern Desktop
Preferred Qualifications
  • Secret Security Clearance
  • Associate's Degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Data Science, Information Systems, Computer Science, etc.
  • IAT Level II Certification (CompTIA Security+ CE equivalent or higher)
  • Problem solver and troubleshooter who thrives in resolving complex problems
  • Strong self-starter requiring minimal supervision
  • Excellent communication skills (written and oral) and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks
