Position Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Nursing Assistant II + Clerical (Clinical Support Tech II) for our Cardiac Intensive Care Unit. This unit is part of a renowned healthcare center focused on delivering comprehensive care for patients with cardiac and vascular conditions. Here, you will have the opportunity to engage in a variety of learning experiences within a vibrant and supportive work environment.

This role requires a commitment of 36 hours per week, featuring rotating 12-hour shifts (7am-7:30pm and 7pm-7:30am), including weekends and holidays. An attractive benefits package is available, which includes accrued PTO hours based on hours worked. Additionally, you will participate in a thorough week-long orientation session held bi-weekly (Monday to Friday, 7:30am-5:00pm).

Role Responsibilities:
- Assist healthcare professionals with patient assessments and procedures, manage equipment procurement, and oversee supply inventory.
- Monitor patient care documentation for updates, promptly communicating any significant changes to registered nurses or physicians.
- Perform administrative tasks such as organizing workloads, welcoming visitors, transcribing physician orders, and maintaining medical records.
- Engage in direct patient care activities as outlined in care plans, including measuring vital signs, collecting specimens, and providing wound care.
- Support patient education by reinforcing information provided by healthcare professionals and distributing educational resources as necessary.

Qualifications:
● High School diploma or GED
Licensure/Certification:
● Certified as Nursing Assistant II with the appropriate regulatory board.
● Certified as Nursing Assistant I with the relevant health department.
● Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for Healthcare Providers
● Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification
Experience Requirements:
● At least one (1) year of clerical or customer service experience, along with six (6) months of relevant nursing assistant experience, or a combination of education and experience.
Skills and Abilities:
● Proficient in verbal and written English. Ability to develop computer skills as needed.
