Position Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Nursing Assistant II + Clerical (Clinical Support Tech II) for our Cardiac Intensive Care Unit. This unit is integral to our commitment to delivering exceptional care for patients with cardiac and vascular conditions. Here, you will encounter a variety of learning experiences in a vibrant work atmosphere, supported by a culture that values quality healthcare and teamwork.
Work Schedule: This role requires a commitment of 36 hours per week, with rotating 12-hour shifts (7am-7:30pm and 7pm-7:30am), including weekends and holidays. You will enjoy a comprehensive benefits package, including accrued PTO based on hours worked. A thorough week-long orientation session is required every two weeks (Monday to Friday, 7:30am-5:00pm).

Role Responsibilities:
- Assist healthcare professionals with patient assessments and procedures, equipment acquisition, and supply oversight.
- Monitor patient care documentation for updates, promptly notifying registered nurses or physicians of any significant changes.
- Execute clerical tasks such as managing workloads, welcoming visitors, transcribing physician orders, and maintaining patient records.
- Engage in direct patient care activities as specified in care plans, including vital signs monitoring, specimen collection, wound management, and more.
- Support patient education by reinforcing information provided by healthcare professionals and distributing educational resources as necessary.
Qualifications:
● High School diploma or GED
Licensure/Certification:
● Registered as Nursing Assistant II with the North Carolina Board of Nursing.
● Registered as Nursing Assistant I with the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services.
● Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification
● Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification
Experience:
● At least one (1) year of clerical or customer service experience and six (6) months of relevant nursing assistant experience, or a combination of education and experience.
Skills and Abilities:
● Proficient in verbal and written English. Ability to develop computer skills as needed.
