Our client, Petroplan Europe Limited, is in search of a dedicated HRIS and HR Operations Specialist to enhance the operational efficiency of HR functions within a US-based LNG export facility, addressing the global demand for North American natural gas.


Key Responsibilities

  • HR Operations:
    • Subject Matter Expertise: Be the primary resource for essential HR processes and functions within the HR operations.
    • Back-Office Process Specialization: Maintain comprehensive knowledge and proficiency in specific HR back-office functions.
    • Comprehensive HR Support: Provide assistance across diverse HR areas, including payroll, recruitment, employee relations, and compensation.
    • Lifecycle Support: Aid employees with inquiries related to their lifecycle processes, including alimony, housing, garnishment, and payroll issues.
    • Continuous Improvement: Promote a culture of ongoing enhancement by identifying opportunities for process improvements.
    • Process Analysis: Assess business process challenges and recommend solutions to the HR team for system updates.
    • Policy Management: Review and update HR policies to ensure compliance with legislative changes.
    • Complex Issue Resolution: Collaborate with colleagues to address intricate HR challenges, ensuring compliance and minimizing escalations.
  • HRIS/HRMS Expertise:
    • HRIS/HRMS Trainer: Act as the expert and trainer for HRIS/HRMS, analyzing data to improve HR strategies and departmental productivity.
    • Automation Leadership: Spearhead initiatives to automate and integrate core HR processes, enhancing HRIS/HRMS and payroll systems.
    • System Improvement Collaboration: Work closely with IT and users to identify system enhancement opportunities and implement solutions.
    • Enhancement Management: Oversee requests for process improvements and system enhancements, including the development of new HR software applications.
    • Implementation Leadership: Lead ongoing HRIS/HRMS implementations, ensuring effective testing, configuration, and optimization.
    • Application Integration: Ensure seamless integration of HR applications within the organizational infrastructure.
    • HRIS Support: Provide extensive support for HRIS systems, including needs analysis, design, testing, and training.
    • Work Prioritization: Collaborate with HR and IT to prioritize tasks and deliver value to end-users.
    • Business Needs Translation: Partner with HR leaders to convert business needs into actionable projects.
    • Regular Audits: Conduct audits to ensure the quality of business processes and data.
    • User Experience Enhancement: Identify and resolve issues to improve user experience and HRIS integrations.
    • Workflow Documentation: Develop and maintain HRIS business process workflows for efficiency.
    • Ad Hoc Reporting: Create and manage ad hoc reporting tools for end-users.
  • Additional Responsibilities:
    • Relationship Building: Foster strong relationships with internal leaders and employees.
    • HR Reporting: Generate reports on HR activities and metrics.
    • Project Support: Assist with various HR projects as required.
    • Policy Communication: Aid in the communication and maintenance of the employee handbook and organizational policies.
    • Other Duties: Perform additional tasks as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years in HR operations and HRIS/HRMS.
  • HRIS Expertise: Proficient in HRIS optimization and translating complex data into actionable insights.
  • Project Management: Strong project management skills focused on continuous improvement.
  • Microsoft Proficiency: Advanced skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication, decision-making, and analytical skills.
  • Organizational Skills: Strong ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Innovation: Proven ability to enhance internal processes through creativity.
  • Collaboration: Ability to work independently and collaboratively with teams.
  • Relationship Management: Strong relationship-building skills across all organizational levels.
  • Confidentiality: Ability to handle sensitive information discreetly.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Industry Experience: Background in Oil and Gas or Manufacturing sectors.
  • HR Discipline Experience: Experience across various HR disciplines.
  • Global Experience: Familiarity with global multi-national companies.
  • Data Visualization: Proficiency in data visualization tools like PowerBI.
  • Payroll Systems: Experience with multiple payroll systems.
  • M&A HRIS Management: Experience in managing HRIS during mergers and acquisitions.
  • UKG Expertise: Hands-on experience with UKG and related implementations.
  • IT Collaboration: Ability to work effectively with IT to translate needs into technical requirements.
  • System Development Knowledge: Understanding of the system development life cycle.
  • Project Management Knowledge: Strong theoretical and practical project management knowledge.
