Our client is looking for a dedicated HRIS and HR Operations Specialist to enhance the efficiency of HR functions within a leading energy organization. This role is pivotal in supporting the operational needs of a US-based LNG export facility while catering to the global demand for North American natural gas.


Key Responsibilities


1. HR Operations:
  • Act as a Subject Matter Expert: Be the primary resource for critical HR processes and functions.
  • Focus on HR Back-Office Processes: Maintain extensive knowledge and proficiency in specific HR back-office operations.
  • Deliver Comprehensive HR Support: Provide assistance across various HR areas, including payroll, recruitment, employee relations, and compensation.
  • Employee Lifecycle Assistance: Support employees with inquiries related to their lifecycle processes, such as alimony, housing, garnishments, and payroll issues.
  • Promote Continuous Improvement: Encourage a culture of ongoing enhancement by identifying areas for process optimization.
  • Evaluate and Recommend Enhancements: Analyze operational challenges and suggest improvements to the HR team.
  • Policy Oversight: Review and update HR policies to align with legislative changes.
  • Resolve Complex Challenges: Collaborate with colleagues to address intricate HR issues, ensuring compliance and minimizing escalations.
2. HRIS/HRMS Expertise:
  • HRIS/HRMS Specialist and Trainer: Serve as the expert and trainer for HRIS/HRMS, utilizing data to enhance HR strategies and improve productivity.
  • Lead Automation Initiatives: Spearhead efforts to automate and integrate core HR processes, optimizing HRIS/HRMS and payroll systems.
  • Collaborate for System Enhancements: Work closely with IT and users to identify and implement system improvements.
  • Manage System Upgrades: Oversee requests for process enhancements and the development of new HR software applications.
  • HRIS/HRMS Implementation Leadership: Direct ongoing HRIS/HRMS implementations, including testing, configuration, and optimization.
  • Ensure Application Integration: Guarantee seamless integration of HR applications into the organizational infrastructure.
  • Support HRIS Systems: Provide extensive support for HRIS systems, including needs analysis, design, testing, and training.
  • Prioritize and Govern Work: Collaborate with HR and IT to prioritize tasks and deliver value to end-users.
  • Translate Business Needs: Work with HR leaders to convert business needs into actionable projects.
  • Conduct Regular Audits: Perform audits to ensure the quality of processes and data.
  • Enhance User Experience: Identify and resolve issues to improve user experience and HRIS integrations.
  • Document Workflows: Develop and maintain HRIS business process workflows.
  • Ad Hoc Reporting: Create and manage ad hoc reporting tools for end-users.
3. Additional Responsibilities:
  • Build Strong Relationships: Foster strong connections with internal business leaders and employees.
  • Generate HR Reports: Create reports on HR activities and metrics.
  • Assist with HR Projects: Support various HR projects as required.
  • Facilitate Policy Communication: Aid in the communication and interpretation of HR policies.
  • Perform Other Duties: Undertake additional tasks as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or a related field.
  • Relevant Experience: Minimum of 3 years in HR operations and HRIS/HRMS.
  • HRIS System Expertise: Proficient in HRIS optimization and translating complex data into actionable insights.
  • Project Management Skills: Strong skills in project management with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Tools: Advanced skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Communication and Problem-Solving: Excellent communication and analytical skills with attention to detail.
  • Organizational Skills: Strong ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Innovation and Creativity: Proven ability to enhance processes through innovative thinking.
  • Independent and Collaborative Work: Ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Industry Experience: Background in the Oil and Gas or Manufacturing sector.
  • HR Discipline Experience: Experience across various HR disciplines.
  • Global Company Experience: Experience in a multinational organization.
  • Data Visualization Expertise: Proficiency in data visualization tools like PowerBI.
  • Payroll System Experience: Familiarity with multiple payroll systems.
  • M&A HRIS Management: Experience with HRIS during mergers and acquisitions.
  • UKG and HRIS Expertise: Hands-on experience with UKG and related systems.
  • IT Partnership: Ability to collaborate with IT to translate needs into technical requirements.
  • System Development Life Cycle: Understanding of the system development life cycle.
  • Project Management Knowledge: Strong theoretical and practical knowledge of project management.
