INTERNSHIP IN BUSINESS TAXATION

Position Overview:
As an intern at RSM, you will collaborate with a diverse range of businesses across various sectors. You will cultivate strong professional relationships with clients by gaining insights into their operations and challenges. Interns engage in multiple team projects throughout the year, contributing to various aspects of each assignment rather than focusing on a single component. Working within a respectful team atmosphere allows our associates to perform at their best while harmonizing their professional and personal lives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Participating in a team that addresses a broad spectrum of tax specialty areas, including income tax accounting, corporate taxation, federal incentives, individual tax matters, mergers and acquisitions, pass-through entity taxation, private client services, and nonprofit organizations.
  • Conducting tax planning and research activities.
  • Assisting in the preparation of federal and state tax returns.
  • Gaining a comprehensive understanding of tax regulations and accounting standards.
Basic Qualifications:
  • Completion of 90 credit hours.
  • Pursuing a B.A. / B.S. degree or equivalent from an accredited institution.
  • Major in Accounting.
  • Willingness to travel to client locations, with access to reliable transportation.
  • A minimum GPA of 3.0 is preferred.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other computer applications.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
  • Capability to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.
