GENERAL OVERVIEW:

As a pivotal member of the team at Fifth Third Bank, N.A., the Senior Portfolio Manager operates autonomously within the framework of established investment policy guidelines. This role is essential in crafting, proposing, and executing investment strategies tailored to meet the needs of large and intricate client accounts.

The primary responsibilities encompass investment oversight, client engagement, and supporting initiatives for new business development.

Accountability for risk management is paramount, which involves the open exchange of ideas, addressing concerns proactively, and adhering to defined policies and procedures.

Upholding the highest standards of integrity for clients and colleagues is critical, ensuring that actions contribute positively to the overall customer experience.

While functioning within the Bank's risk parameters, success is achieved by consistently identifying, evaluating, managing, monitoring, and reporting various types of risks.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Cultivate satisfied clients and explore new avenues for asset management revenue through regular engagement, particularly for substantial and complex portfolios.

2. Collaborate with major client relationships to establish investment goals and execute a tailored investment strategy, maintaining an Investment Policy Statement for each client.

3. In partnership with client advisors, contribute to the development of new business opportunities by engaging with potential clients and preparing comprehensive investment management proposals.

4. Interpret the directives of trust or agency agreements and formulate an investment policy to achieve specified objectives.

5. Allocate assets in accordance with investment policy guidelines to secure a competitive return while managing risk effectively.

6. Regularly liaise with members of the Wealth Management Team and external advisors to ensure clear communication regarding client objectives and coordinate necessary portfolio adjustments.

7. Stay informed about emerging investment strategies, techniques, and products through continuous engagement with industry professionals and thorough research.

8. Monitor market trends and assess their impact on client investment portfolios.

9. Remain updated on legal and tax considerations related to investment decisions by consulting with legal and financial experts as required.

10. Adhere to established investment policies and procedures, including conducting annual account reviews and addressing any exceptions appropriately.


REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is essential, with a preference for candidates holding advanced degrees such as an MBA or CFA. A minimum of 8 to 10 years of experience in money management, particularly in investment decision-making, is required.

Strong communication and presentation skills are vital for success in this role.
