We are in search of a highly qualified and seasoned Corporate Accounting Manager to enhance our financial team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all accounting operations, which includes preparing journal entries, reconciling balance sheet accounts, analyzing general ledger accounts, and conducting variance analysis.

This position also entails overseeing the annual audit process, preparing tax-related documentation, formulating and enforcing internal control policies, and acting as a liaison among the Accounting, Finance, and Operations divisions.


Key Responsibilities:

Journal Entries:
Ensure the accurate preparation and posting of journal entries to reflect all business transactions appropriately.

Account Reconciliations:
Prepare and assess balance sheet account reconciliations to guarantee the precision and completeness of financial information.

General Ledger Analysis:

Perform comprehensive analyses of general ledger accounts for Profit and Loss (P&L) and ensure timely resolution of any discrepancies.


Variance Analysis:

Conduct in-depth variance analysis comparing actuals to forecasts/budgets at both the corporate level and for individual departments and locations.


Annual Audit Coordination:

Collaborate with external auditors and prepare necessary tax-related documentation for annual tax filings to facilitate the audit process.


Internal Control Development:
Draft, implement, and uphold internal control policies and procedures to ensure compliance and operational efficiency within the department.

Cross-Department Collaboration:
Act as a vital link between the Accounting, Finance, and Operations teams to promote effective communication and teamwork.

Team Development:
Supervise, mentor, and cultivate the accounting staff to ensure high performance and professional advancement.

Additional Responsibilities:
Undertake other tasks as assigned by senior management.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Economics, or a related discipline
Minimum of 10 years of experience in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
Demonstrated experience as an Accounting Manager or in a similar capacity within a corporate setting.
Strong grasp of accounting principles and practices.
Exceptional analytical abilities and meticulous attention to detail.
Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Knowledge of IFRS
CPA certification required
Experience with securitizations is advantageous
Prior experience in the car rental industry is preferred
