Position Summary:

The Senior Accounting Specialist will report to the Accounting Manager and will oversee daily accounts receivable operations and various accounting responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate Accounts Receivable processes to guarantee the precision and promptness of invoice generation, including order validation and process enhancements.
  • Conduct general ledger, sales tax, and customer account reconciliations.
  • Prepare accounting entries for multiple registers, logs, and the general ledger.
  • Adhere to established accounting protocols of the organization.
  • Support external audit processes as required.
  • Resolve accounting and financial inquiries by analyzing and interpreting data.
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly and annual financial reports.
  • Engage in initiatives aimed at process improvement.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting is mandatory.
  • Two to four years of relevant accounting experience.
  • Experience in a manufacturing setting is preferred.

Technical Proficiencies:

  • Proficient in performing calculations and analyses related to Accounts Receivable, journal entries, and other accounting tasks.
  • Experience with QuickBooks is essential; familiarity with other accounting or ERP systems is advantageous.
  • Ability to read and interpret financial statements and general ledger activities.
  • Competent in using software applications such as MS Excel, MS Access, MS Word, and Outlook.

Additional Requirements:

  • Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking English.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen or a Legal Resident Alien.

Physical Demands:

  • Regularly required to sit for extended periods.
  • Must possess adequate sight and hearing to perform job functions effectively.
  • Frequent verbal communication is necessary.
  • Specific vision capabilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Occasional lifting of up to 10 lbs may be required.
  • Ability to manage and navigate stressful situations is important.

Work Environment:

  • Work is typically conducted in a climate-controlled office setting with minimal exposure to extreme conditions.
  • Noise levels are moderate, typical of a standard office environment.
