Position Summary:

The primary responsibility of this role is to ensure the seamless and efficient movement of products from suppliers to end users, encompassing both inbound and outbound shipments, both domestically and internationally. The individual will oversee the delivery and supply chain processes, ensuring they operate smoothly, cost-effectively, and safely.

Key responsibilities include analyzing delivery and supply chain processes to identify potential improvements. The role involves managing route activities, including invoicing, electronic billing, shipment tracking, and tracing. Additionally, the individual will conduct freight analysis in collaboration with our third-party logistics (3PL) provider to determine the most economical shipping methods. This position also entails managing our direct and indirect duty drawback program.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Facilitate the transportation of products between various destinations for all warehouses.
  • Coordinate logistics and orchestrate deliveries to fulfill customer demands promptly.
  • Receive and manage deliveries of buyout products from vendors.
  • Implement measures to prevent quality control issues in all shipments.
  • Oversee activities throughout the order fulfillment and transportation cycle to ensure deadlines are met.
  • Regularly review freight costs and transportation rates with our 3PL partner to minimize expenses.
  • Enhance and automate existing shipping and transportation processes.
  • Maintain comprehensive databases of logistics information for ocean and small parcel shipments.
  • Establish performance measurement KPIs for logistics and transportation.
  • Develop and manage the duty drawback program for direct and indirect materials.
  • Handle invoicing for domestic, ocean, and small parcel shipments.
  • Streamline processes for international shipments.
  • Identify and resolve daily service and scheduling challenges; escalate issues to management as necessary.
  • Maintain timely and professional communication with customer contacts regarding service impacts and overall performance.
  • Effectively communicate with customers regularly about issues affecting their service expectations.
  • Collaborate with 3PL/Warehouse on any damage or loss of materials in transit; manage and submit claims as needed.
  • Track claims with carriers/providers and communicate with accounting regarding credits.
  • Work with buyers on urgent inbound deliveries requiring tracking and communication.
  • May be required to quote, book, and issue documents for air freight shipments as necessary.
  • Monthly tracking and reporting of freight accrual for all divisions within Arlon.
  • Collaborate with the Logistics Analyst on monthly SD reports.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, logistics, or a related field.
  • Two (2)+ years of relevant experience.
  • Familiarity with legal regulations.
  • Knowledge of domestic and international freight operations.
  • Proficient in Incoterms and their application.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and logistics software.
  • Strong communication skills in English (verbal and written); ability to effectively communicate with all organizational levels and external suppliers and customers.
  • Flexibility and availability to work as required by business needs, including after hours and across multiple time zones.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Understanding of ISO systems.
  • Experience with Duty Drawback.
  • SAP experience.
Compensation Transparency:

The current pay rate for this position is between $35.00 per hour. Compensation will be determined based on market conditions, job-related knowledge and skills, education, training, and experience. Employment will be at will, and the company reserves the right to modify pay and any other compensation programs at any time.
